Bio

Hi I’m Steve. I was born in California then grew up and joined the U.S. Air Force to become a combat photographer but the Air Force had other ideas and made sa-boulderme a weatherman instead. Four years later when my tour of duty was up I returned back to California where I continue to work as a weatherman for the government but my passion continues to be photography. I’ve found the next best thing to being a combat photographer is shooting cycling specifically cyclocross up close and on the edge of the action.

I am fortunate to be able to spend a good amount of time on personal projects, traveling and collaborating with a team of fun people. I make my home in Monterey on the beautiful central coast of sa4California. When I am not shooting I can be found racing cyclocross. I feel my perspective as a racer gives me a better feel as to where the best spots to set up and take photos to capture the best action shots are.
